The June 2025 regular technical meeting was held on June 30 at the Le Meridien Hotel in Khobar, organized by the Society for Materials Engineering in partnership with AMPP Dhahran Branch. We extend our sincere thanks to Tuboscope NOV, the technical meeting sponsor, and to the speaker, Mr. Frank Eberlin, Director of NOV Coatings. The innovative Thru-Kote® weld coating technology was presented, demonstrating its advantages in protecting pipe welds from internal corrosion and resolving the problem of internal coating of field joints. Following the scientific lecture, a dinner was served, attended by specialists and engineers interested in materials engineering, welding, and metal corrosion, as well as a large gathering of local company representatives. The Society for Materials Engineering hopes to continue its efforts to provide you with many more exciting technical events in the future.
